The Id Phoenix

The Id Phoenix may be the weirdest Phoenix of them all

For many reasons

|

As it was younger, the Id Phoenix soared in the sky like a… well, like a bird

Its wings tickled the wind as a way of saying “hello”

It was often ahead of the other birds

While its aura shined bright like the sun, the Id Phoenix chose to be as visible as a new moon

However, this phoenix’s life wasn’t perfect

|

Often times, it would fall down

As most baby birds would when flying through the sky of life

The Id Phoenix fell for numerous reasons

Maybe another bird chirped loudly at them or they couldn’t eat a worm

Maybe it was pushed down by another Phoenix

Maybe another bird flew away from it, even for just a little while

Maybe it witnessed or went through something catastrophic

Maybe it was just having a bad day

But like many species, negatives outweigh positives

|

The Id Phoenix fell so many times the other birds couldn’t tell if it mattered or not

They tended to focus more on when it fell because of small circumstances

When the Id Phoenix cut its wing after a tough fall, the other birds assumed this cut

As shallow as the ocean

Was a minuscule mice mincing off of meat

The Id Phoenix chose to move on with its feelings

When it fell, it flew low, unable to contact the other birds

Of course, the other birds flew away

|

The Id Phoenix got better at not falling

When one day, its mother yelled at it for falling all the time

The Id Phoenix seemed to be fine

But those falls turned into chirps

Chirping when it was slightly bothered

Chirping when it was incredibly hurt by another Phoenix

Most birds didn’t mind, but those who did were furious

Every time the Id Phoenix chirped, these other birds imagines it as squawking

As if it always chirped

As if it wasn’t allowed to chirp

And the Id Phoenix couldn’t do anything but get angrier

|

Sometimes the Id Phoenix didn’t know if its chirps mattered

If it was too much

Or not enough

In the bird’s eyes, some things were too disdainful not to chirp about

When other birds could easily not bother it

Sometimes it was too much

But too much could never be enough for the Id Phoenix

It was constantly pushed

Constantly chirped at

Disputes big and small, larger than life

And it has a right to chirp and squawk, right?

|

Sometimes, its livid outbursts of fire don’t even make sense to it

Sometimes, the Id Phoenix wanted the bittersweet, savory taste of ravenous rage

|

They wanted it not to fall, so it chirped

They wanted it not to chirp, so… nothing

They wanted it to something

Was the Id Phoenix easily irritated

Or was the sky of life a sky of irritation
